USS Cole | Show Branding Project | The Daily Wire
This project was my first solo project assigned by my executive director. I created a few concepts some inspired from old war illustrations. The goal of this project was to create another alternative branding look.
Key Art Concept First Version Ideation
Simplify the narrative of the USS Cole attack into a bold visual symbols, instead of detailed illustrations or images.
This design takes inspiration from the vintage naval battleship board game aesthetic, the grid background references symbolized both strategy and precision which ties into the story of the USS Cole attack.
Key Art Concept Second Version Ideation
Incorporation of the real hull damage makes the design visceral and undeniable. It no longer feels like a symbolic abstraction. The grayscale treatments adds seriousness and removes distractions.
